8th Annual Omaha Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday Afternoon, September 16th, 2012. Check in starts at 12pm. Schedule of events. Walk starts at 2pm. Register to walk at http://www.outofthedarkness.org.
This is a no-entry-fee walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and our Nebraska Chapter of the same.
The walk is to create awareness that depression and other mood disorders have the capacity to end life and to remove the stigmas and myths associated with mood disorders and suicide. Participants may honor a loved one lost to suicide by creating and wearing own design t-shirts, various activities at walk; including a memorial balloon release.
